The ideal spot to make sure of making your connection
Basel SBB / SNCF main station is the biggest border station in Europe. Every day, there are up to 500 departures.
There are hourly ICE services from Basel to Berlin, Hamburg and other German cities. Trains run several times a day to Milan and there is also the TGV to Paris.
Thanks to Basel’s location on the border, regional rail traffic is not restricted to north-west Switzerland but is also oriented to Germany and France.
And just 120 steps from this international and national railway hub, you can stay in comfort in the Hotel Schweizerhof Basel.

Get from the airport to your hotel in 20 minutes free of charge
The terminal for the airport bus line 50 at the Basel SBB / SNCF main station is a two-minute walk away. The airport bus provides a link with EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg several times an hour between 04:35 and 24:00. The maximum journey time is 20 minutes.
Your reservation confirmation suffices as a ticket for free transfer by airport shuttle from the airport to the terminus at the Basel SBB / SNCF main station on your day of arrival.
With the "Mobility Ticket" which you will receive at the hotel check-in, you can also travel free to the airport on your day of departure. Incidentally, in Basel it is considered “chic” to travel by public transport. The tram goes under the affectionate nickname of "Drämmli".
